The Berlin Senate will continue to support the capital's twelve districts in their own tourism marketing in the coming years.
An agreement to this effect was signed by Senator Stephan Schwarz on Monday evening (June 13, 2022) with representatives of the districts and the managing director of the tourism company Visit Berlin, Burkhard Kieker. "Making the district offers more visible with clever concepts is the right way and we want to continue this together," Schwarz announced.
Since 2018, the Senate and the districts have been working closely together on tourism marketing. At the time, Kieker said, there were many sights in the districts that were not on the first three pages of any travel guide. These days, an app provides visitors with around 700 ideas and tips for all of the city's districts. In addition, various campaigns have repeatedly drawn attention to sights in different parts of the city.
