Online database on collective bargaining regulations in Berlin launched

Information on more than 500 collective agreements in force in Berlin has been available online since Friday ( March 25, 2022).

The Senate Department for Labour and Social Affairs has published them in its new online tariff compliance register. It is intended to help ensure that the content of collective agreements is given even greater attention and to facilitate the monitoring of compliance with collective agreements in public contracts and measures funded by the state of Berlin, according to the Senate Administration. The SPD, the Greens and the Left had agreed on the new register in the coalition agreement.

Information on hourly wages, remuneration for night or Sunday work and bonuses can be looked up for 50 different sectors of the economy, from waste management to carpentry. The DGB Berlin-Brandenburg announced on Friday that the online wage register was an important milestone on the way to implementing the tariff compliance anchored in Berlin's public procurement law. According to the social administration, talks are still underway with the building and economic administration on the necessary implementation regulations. They are to follow by the summer. The register is a first step in the implementation.
