Berlin Story Bunker

Historiale Berlin Museum

800 years of history: In the Berlin Story Bunker, visitors can immerse themselves in the history of Berlin at several stations.

Berlin's history is waiting to be discovered in a bunker from the Second World War. Large-format and interactive exhibits illustrate the most important stages of the capital's turbulent history.

The exhibition “Hitler - How could it happen” in the Berlin Story Bunker focuses in particular on Hitler's rise to power and the Second World War.

Audio Guides Take you Through Berlin's History

Photos, films, objects, sculptures and information boards: The museum uses a wide variety of exhibits to create 30 stations where visitors can explore a period in Berlin's history and really immerse themselves in it. Exhibits include the buckets of the Trümmerfrauen (rubble women), ruins, and suitcases of refugees. An audio guide leads you from one station to the next. You should plan at least two and a half hours for the visit.

Highlights in the Berlin Story Bunker

A visually stunning summary of the last 300 years at the Brandenburg Gate invites you to linger at the beginning of the tour. The first issue of the magazine “Der Spiegel” and sculptures of Bismarck and Frederick the Great are also on display.

Hitler Documentary in the Berlin Story Bunker

The exhibition, which has been on display in the bunker since 2007, is dedicated to the question of how Hitler came to power. Among other things, his bunker study has been faithfully reconstructed and a model of the Führerbunker has been created. The research station “Hitler - The Itinerary” provides extensive and detailed information on Hitler's whereabouts and travels.
