The multimedia light project «Dark Matter» presents expansive light installations in the premises of a former factory site in Berlin-Lichtenberg.
Light artist Christopher Bauder and his design studio Whitevoid, who have already been responsible for the installations «Deep Web» and «Skalar» in Berlin's Kraftwerk, among others, would like to lead visitors into a parallel cosmos of expansive light installations in which the boundaries between the real and digital worlds become blurred. In seven partly interactive works, light, movement and sound merge into emotional choreographies of luminous shapes and colours.
On 3 June 2022, Dark Matter's 1000 sqm outdoor area will open its doors to the public. Visitors will then be able to enjoy the luminous sculpture «Stalactite» while enjoying drinks and electronic music. The huge construction of 360 light elements floats above the guests in the form of an inverted pyramid.
