Van Gogh – The Immersive Experience

At «Van Gogh - The Immersive Experience» masterful art meets state-of-the-art technology. The exhibition features an unprecedented multimedia spectacle that presents the world-famous works of the Dutch painter in an extraordinary way.

Multimedia light installation brings artworks to life

In the exhibition, van Gogh's paintings are projected onto the walls of Station-Berlin by means of newly developed light installations. More tangible than ever before, the works thus become an «immersive experience» for the viewer, immersing him in a virtual illusion. The installations are accompanied by soulful melodies that bring out every artistic detail even more intensely. Paintings on view include «Sunflowers», «The Night Café», «The Starry Night», «The Potato Eaters», «The Bedroom» and about 500 other works by the artist. In addition, visitors learn exciting details about the life of van Gogh, his time in the monastery, mysterious letters to his brother, the history of the creation of famous works and much more.

«Immersive experience» in historical Station-Berlin

The technology developed by lighting experts enables a multimedia illusion of images and sound that the viewer perceives as absolutely real. An innovative 3D mapping projection system allows the images, animations and videos to be projected onto the surfaces of the historic location. Station-Berlin is located on the site of the former Dresdner Bahnhof near Potsdamer Platz.

FFP2 masks are mandatory on the entire premises of Station-Berlin including the exhibition rooms.
