The Hummus Festival is celebrated at the end of August. Where exactly the paste comes from is unclear, as Egypt, Lebanon and Syria are all in the running for the title. Meanwhile, there are a variety of recipes, whether classic or fancy, to try at the festival. Around 15 stall holders sign up to offer their hummus interpretations every year.
