At the Naschmarkt in Markthalle Neun in Kreuzberg, Berlin confectioners offer treats such as cakes, cookies and chocolates.
The Berlin Naschmarkt ("naschen" means "to nibble on something sweet") invites all sweet tooths to Markthalle Neun in Berlin-Kreuzberg. There, small Berlin and Brandenburg manufactories present sweets in a wide variety of versions - all handmade and without chemicals. Visitors can taste their way through international baked goods such as babkas, cannoli, pavlovas, macarons and strudels as well as new ice cream varieties and other delicacies such as cakes and tarts, chocolates, pralines and fruit spreads.
Many of the nibbles on offer are made according to artisan traditions and do not use genetically modified raw materials, synthetic additives, preservatives, flavorings and colorings, flavor enhancers and synthetically produced sugar. Those who want to know more about the production and ingredients of the treats can learn artisanal tricks and secrets from the producers present on site.
