Yayoi Kusama

Yayoi Kusama (1)

Ein Mann geht im Martin-Gropius-Bau im Rahmen der Ausstellung "Yayoi Kusama. Eine Retrospektive".

Yayoi Kusama is the superstar of contemporary art in Japan. In 2021, the Gropius Bau in Berlin dedicates the first comprehensive retrospective in Germany to the artist.

At the latest since the exhibition «Garten der irdischen Freuden» in 2019, the «Polka Dots», characteristic of Kusama's work, have been known to Berliners interested in art. Her installation «With All My Love for the Tulips, I Pray Forever» was a highlight of the show and became a favorite in the social networks. The new exhibition, which will be on view in spring 2021, offers an overview of all the creative periods of the last seventy years. In addition to current paintings by Yayoi Kusama, a completely new Infinity Room will also be on view in the Gropus Building.
