Berlin New Year's Run

Just as the old (sports) year ends, the new one begins: with a running event. The New Year's run at the Brandenburg Gate attracts a good 3,500 runners annually.

The SCC-organized run on New Year's Day is not a competitive race with timing and an award ceremony, but a very relaxed running event for everyone to enjoy. The approximately four-kilometer route leads from the Brandenburg Gate along Unter den Linden, in a large arc around the Berlin Cathedral, and then back to the Brandenburg Gate.

No prior registration is necessary - runners and walkers can simply join in spontaneously. Participation in the New Year's run is free of charge. During the race, the SCC will collect donations for a good cause.
