Railway Festival at the Schöneweide Depot

The railway festival invites all locomotive fans to get to know the Schöneweide railway depot.

Every year in September, 120 years of railway history can be relived at the Eisenbahnfest (Railway Festival). Now in its 21st year, the event opens the doors of the Schöneweide depot and invites visitors to marvel and discover. View historic railways, take a ride on a steam locomotive or learn about the tasks of a train driver from earlier times. A special highlight is the locomotive driving simulator: There is plenty on offer for young and old.

Selection of Historic Railways

More than 40 railways and carriages will be on display. The selection ranges from the 03 express locomotive to Class 35 and 52 freight steam locomotives, all the way to the Class 74 (1916) light rail steam locomotive. In addition, visitors can explore the Ringbahn twice a day aboard a historic red railbus.
