Visitors of the open day day at the Berlin animal shelter in Falkenberg can look forward to discussion rounds, market stalls, join-in activities and lots more.
On open day, animal lovers of all ages can visit Europe's largest animal shelter between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Hausvaterweg in the Lichtenberg district. One of the annual highlights of the program is the performance of the "Pitbull Ballet". The show presentating the shelter dogs also enjoys great popularity every year.
Visitors can expect a small market with stalls selling goodies for our four-legged friends as well as the animal shelter flea market, the proceeds of which go directly to the Berlin animal shelter. For children, many games and hands-on activities are planned around the topic of animals and animal welfare. Vegan and vegetarian street food will provide for visitors' physical well-being and a free shuttle bus drives continuously between the S-Bahn station Ahrensfelde and the animal shelter between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
