Fan Zone at the Brandenburg Gate

The Fan Mile for the FIFA World Cup and the European Football Championship between the Victory Column and the Brandenburg Gate is the number one location for Berlin football fans to celebrate together.

The Berlin Fan Mile is the largest open air venue for the live screening of major sporting events of its kind in Germany. It is located on Straße des 17. Juni in the Tiergarten district, between the Brandenburg Gate and Große Querallee. On a space of almost two kilometres, the Fan Mile provides more than enough space for a gigantic football fan party. Several large video screens provide an excellent view of the matches from all positions.

UEFA Euro 2024: Brandenburg Gate Becomes Football Goal

It will be the "mother of all fan miles": For the UEFA Euro 2024, the Brandenburg Gate is to be transformed into the largest football goal in the world. The goal is to be erected in front of the popular landmark, which will also function as a screen for the games. A "pop-up park" with a green lawn will be installed on Straße des 17. Juni where football fans, residents and visitorss can spend time between the match screenings. All matches of the German national team as well as many other games will be shown on the giant screen of the Berlin Fan Mile.

Entrances, screens and security checks on the fan mile

A total of five large screens will be placed on the Fan Mile on which the matches can be watched.
The main screen is located directly in front of the Brandenburg Gate, while four other large screens are located along the Straße des 17. The fan zone has four entrances and exits. These are located

  • At the Victory Column
  • At Yitzhak-Rabin-Straße
  • At Pariser Platz to the side of the Brandenburg Gate
Bringing alcoholic beverages and glass bottles is prohibited for safety reasons. Backpacks and suitcases are also prohibited. Bags must not be larger than DIN A4. Only non-alcoholic drinks in plastic bottles or Tetra Paks up to 0.5 litres may be brought in. Blankets and pillows are also prohibited. There will be bag checks in the entrance areas.
