SixDay Berlin

106. Berliner Sechstagerennen

At the six day race in the Velodrom, professional and amateur racing cyclists compete with each other at breathtaking speed.

The sporting events are accompanied by a show program for young and old. As in the previous edition, the six-day race will take place over a period of two or three days, unlike the name suggests. Usually, the Velodrom is transformed into a real show hall with a varied entertainment programme for young and old. Details of this year's programme will follow closer to the event.

History of the Berlin Six-Day Race

Starting in 1909, the Berliner Sechstagerennen (Berlin Six Day Race) is the oldest six-day race in the world. In its first year, 15 teams of two cyclists each competed in the exhibition hall at Berlin Zoo for glory and, not least, 5000 Goldmarks.
