The district of Charlottenburg-North is located east of the river Havel and north of the river Spree. It is home to residential areas, allotment gardens and the Jungfernheide public park.

The Jungfernheide is a former estate district and home to the Jungfernheide public park. The Jungfernheide S-Bahn station is an important transfer point in northwest Berlin.

Housing Estate Charlottenburg-North and Ringsiedlung

The "Ringsiedlung", the Charlottenburg part of Siemensstadt, is located around Goebelplatz. It is considered an example of the progressive housing of the 1920s. The mostly five-story rows of apartments are surrounded by open spaces and green strips. Hans Scharoun's "Battleship", an apartment building reminiscent of naval architecture, is a striking feature of the housing estate. To the east, the second expansion of the Siemensstadt estate, the housing estate Charlottenburg-North, was built between 1956 and 1961 with approx. 4000 apartments. This complex was also designed by Hans Scharoun.

Paul Hertz Housing Estate

The Paul Hertz estate is characterised by social housing. It is located between an allotment garden area in the east, the Heckerdamm in the north, and is bordered to the south and west by city highways (A100 and A111). This gives it an island position.

Plötzensee and Plötzensee Memorial

Lake Plötzensee itself belongs to the Wedding disctrict of Berlin-Mitte, but the Plötzensee district between Saatwinkler Damm and Stadtring (A 100) belongs to Charlottenburg-North. Alongside an industrial park and allotment gardens, the Plötzensee Memorial and the Plötzensee Prison are located here.
