Pauline Curnier Jardin: Luna Kino

«Luna Kino» is Pauline Curnier Jardin's first exhibition at ChertLüdde and is inspired by the Luna-Lichtspiegel, a cinema that used to be located in the rooms next to the Schöneberger Galerie.

Founded around 1914, the cinema survived the air raids of the Second World War and remained open despite the intensifying conflict.

In «Luna Kino», Curnier Jardin uses her ability to build on ambiguities, difficulties and taboos to shape her interpretations of stories, histories and characters. By deconstructing monumental events in German history and the discourses surrounding them, her immersive installation creates a varied visual world that exposes elements of society that would otherwise remain hidden or overlooked.
