Techno, Berlin und die große Freiheit

The exhibition «Techno, Berlin und die große Freiheit» presents personal narratives that have underpinned techno culture since its beginnings as an artistic and social movement.

Through films, sculptures, archival objects and photographs, «Techno, Berlin und die große Freiheit» («Techno, Berlin and the Great Freedom») explores the three-decade history that enabled techno's breakthrough in Berlin in the early 1990s.

Works by Andreas Gurksy, Arthur Jafa, Anne de Vries, Antje Fels, Bahar Noorizadeh, Claire Williams, Danielle de Picciotto, DeForrest Brown, Jr. + Abdul Qadim Haqq, Elsa4toys, Hito Steyerl, Jenn Nkiru, Joe Namy, John Akomfrah, Marie Staggat, Mark Prendergast, Matthew Angelo Harrison, Otolith Group and Rebecca Salvadori, among others, are on view.
