Continent - In search of Europe

The Berlin Academy of the Arts (Akademie der Künste), together with the Ostkreuz agency, is focusing on the present European situation in the photo exhibition "Continent - In Search of Europe".

In independent projects, the Ostkreuz photographers explore various aspects of coexistence in Europe and, in 22 works, focus on personal, social and political phenomena as well as fundamental structures and historical developments. They always find access to complex content through images of people and their surroundings.

On display are works by the artists Jörg Brüggemann, Espen Eichhöfer, Sibylle Fendt, Johanna-Maria Fritz, Annette Hauschild, Harald Hauswald, Heinrich Holtgreve, Tobias Kruse, Ute Mahler, Werner Mahler, Dawin Meckel, Thomas Meyer, Frank Schinski, Jordis Antonia Schlösser, Ina Schoenenburg, Anne Schönharting, Linn Schröder, Stephanie Steinkopf, Mila Teshaieva, Heinrich Völkel, Maurice Weiss, Sebastian Wells and Sibylle Bergemann The exhibition "Continent - In Search of Europe" opens this year's European Month of Photography (EMOP) in Berlin on October 1, 2020.
