Bernhard Martin: Image Ballett

Haus am Waldsee is dedicating a comprehensive exhibition to the Berlin-based painter and installation artist Bernhard Martin with "Image Ballet". On display are paintings, drawings and collages.

Since the 1990s, Martin, who was born in 1966 in Hanover, Germany, has been exploring the visual world of media and advertising, using the Internet as a source of images. He is a master of all painting techniques, from old masterly to the latest spray and glaze techniques. His coloring is based as much on the iridescent fabrics of holy figures of the late Middle Ages as on the smooth Internet aesthetics of our days. "Image Ballet" represents the first overview of the internationally active artist in Berlin.
