Syd Mead – Future Cities: Blade Runner Character Design

The small exhibition «Syd Mead - Future Cities» gathers a selection of his iconic drawings and gouaches with an emphasis on urban spaces, including original motifs for the cult film «Blade Runner».

Syd Mead created breathtaking worlds for legendary science fiction films like Star Trek: The Film, Tron or Blade Runner. For these films he developed entire cities and mobility concepts with flying cars, autonomous vehicles and spaceships. In his designs, he foresaw many technical achievements that have become reality or may yet become so. The exhibition «Syd Mead - Future Cities» in Berlin now offers an insight into the creative world of one of the great futurists of our time. The curator of the show is Boris Hars-Tschachotin.
