Magical Soup

From Nevin Aladag and Stan Douglas to Cyprien Gaillard: the group exhibition «Magical Soup» presents outstanding media artworks from the collection of the Nationalgalerie, the Friedrich Christian Flick Collection and exciting loans.

«Magical Soup» at Hamburger Bahnhof explores borders of all kinds. Music and sounds are a common starting point for the media artworks, installations, and paper works that range from the 1970s to the immediate present. From April 2020, works by media art pioneers such as Nam June Paik, Jochen Gerz, Charlemagne Palestine and Keiichi Tanaami will be shown in the museum in Berlin's Invalidenstrasse. Multimedia artists such as Nevin Aladag, Stan Douglas, Cyprien Gaillard, Douglas Gordon, Rodney Graham, Anne Imhof, Pipilotti Rist, Nicole Wermers or David Zink Yi as well as contemporary positions by Korakrit Arunanondchai, Trisha Baga Christine Sun Kim or Sandra Mujinga also take the guests on this «Gborderline experience».
