The Berlin Masters is a talent show for young and promising artists in Berlin.
The participants of the Berlin Masters, which takes place annually close to the Berlin Art Week, are exclusively artists living and working in Berlin who are no older than 30 years of age. The art forms shown in the exhibition in the rooms of the Berlin Masters Foundation range from painting to sculpture and photography.
Curator and responsible for the selection of artists for the Berlin Master is Philipp Bollmann. He is strategically advised by an artistic advisory board consisting of Johann König, Florian Peters-Messer, Uta Grosenick, Gregor Hildebrandt, Monique Burger, Heiner Wemhöner and Lisa Zeitz. One of the participants will be awarded the art prize endowed with 10,000 euros, the Toy Berlin Masters Award 2020. Additionally, the Berlin Masters Schliemann Residency Prize will be awarded.
