The Advent market under the motto "AdventLichterGenuss" has been taking place in the Südgelände Nature Park since 2017. The more visitors come together with their own candles, the more atmospheric the setting becomes.

Framed by the water tower, the Lokhalle and the Brückenmeisterei, the Giardino Segreto is the setting for the illuminated Advent event. The grounds are bathed in Christmas light with fire bowls and spotlights. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own candles, safely in jars, to complete the experience.
