Viewing Platforms & Viewpoints
Viewpoints, observation terraces, public roof terraces and observation towers: Discover the best views of Berlin. more
Since 2015, Berlin-Marzahn has its very own lookout point: The Skywalk lets visitors discover Berlin from above from a platform on the roof of a high-rise building.
When most people think of Marzahn, tourist attractions are not the first thing that comes to mind, with the exception of the Gardens of the World. However, the district got a real highlight in 2015: the Skywalk of the housing cooperative Degewo. The viewing platform is one of the best lookout points in Berlin - if you dare to go u the 21 storeys and walk across the grid floor, that is. For those afraid of heights, the Skywalk is definitely a test of courage.
Visitors to the Skywalk are guided up a free-floating staircase - always under supervision, as it is not possible to walk on the platform alone for safety reasons. The viewing platform on the 21st floor of a skyscraper offers an enormous view in good weather. Courageous visitors can not discover the whole of Marzahn from here - the view extends all the way to Berlin's city centre with the TV tower and the Brandenburg Gate. In good weather conditions you can even see the Teufelsberg. Photographs on the platform explain what sights can be discovered in which direction.
